Venezuela: Libertad para el joven comunista Alí Jiménez – Solidarity with Venezuelan communists!

https://communismgr.blogspot.com/2017/12/venezuela-libertad-para-el-joven.html
Through a statement, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) has strongly denounced the arrest and detention by police authorities at San Juan de los Morros, of Alí Jiménez, member of the National Directorate of the Communist Youth of Venezuela (Juventud Comunista de Venezuela).

PCV demands from the government of Nicolas Maduro the immediate release of the young communist, as long as Jiménez’s guilt has not been proved and points out that behind the detention of JCV’s cadre are reasons related to political retaliation.

Jiménez was arrested on December 21st in the city of San Juan de los Morros, at the state of Guarico, when he was trying to intercede for local residents who were protesting.
Below, you can read the statement of the Political Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Venezuela in spanish language:

In Ukraine a group of young fascists affiliated to one of the neo-Nazi parties of the country “National Corps” attacked the premises, where the youth wing of Communist Party of Ukraine gathered for plenums in Kiev.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine highligted in the press release on the issue that these criminal groups are controlled and supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was added that during the attack, the police came to the scene and as always did not interfere in the situation.

The Communist Party of Ukraine declared: “All gangster attacks on members of the Party, members of the Komsomol, dissidents are carried out directly on instructions and are financed by political forces that seized power in Ukraine as a result of the armed coup in February 2014.” In the press release, it was also informed that the party sent detailed information about the attack to the international human organizations, PACE, OSCE, and to the UN Human Rights Office.
Previously in December 2015, the Kiev District Administrative Court banned the activities of the Communist Party of Ukraine. In January 2016, the Ministry of Justice stated that the Supreme Administrative Court refused to open proceedings on the appeal of the CPU, which tried to challenge its ban in Ukraine.

Report by In Defense of Communism, Info by 902.gr.

“Panspoudastiki KS”, the communist-backed university students party- emerges again at a national level as the second force in the Universities and the Technological Institutes. The result confirms that there is a very important mass of students that place their trust in the positions and activity of the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE).

Thousands of students supported the lists of “Panspoudastiki KS” (PKS) in the student union elections held on the 24th of May. They struggled alongside the members of KNE in order to shape the positive result of the student union elections.

“Panspoudastiki KS” increased its actual votes and percentage in the Universities, receiving 24.48% (in 114 from 199 Schools). The lists of DAP (of the conservative party New Democracy) gain the majority of votes (37.89%), while PASP (of the social-democratic party PASOK) and EAAK (ultra-left ANTARSYA) saw a reduction in their actual votes in the universities. The government-oriented  list BLOKO of the new social-democratic party SYRIZA has decreased dramatically, reaching 0.50%.

In the Technological Institutes “Panspoudastiki KS” received 25.81% (in 37 from 66 Schools) remaining the second force there as well.

In a statement, the General Secretary of the CC of KNE Nikos Abatielos points out the fact that “Panspoudastiki KS” remains a “militant force”, remaing the second force in the University student elections. “The KKE and KNE will continue our efforts to strengthen the line of counterattack, against the antipeople policy of governments-EU-capital which crashes the studies and life of thousands of students” said Abatielos, adding that “the KKE and KNE will be in the front line of the struggle”.

* While this post was written, the counting of the votes was still in progress. You can check out the results by clicking here (in Greek).

Singing the ‘Internationale’ with the fists raised.
In a political event held in Thessaloniki, Greece on Saturday afternoon, communist youth organisations from six countries (Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Serbia and Germany) declared their internationalist solidarity to the refugees. The event was organised by the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) and was attended by representatives of five communist youths:
The Socialist German Workers Youth; The Collective of Communist Youths – Spain ; The Young Communists Front – Italy; The League of Yugoslav Communist Youth- Serbia and the Communist Youth of Turkey.
The event was addressed by the representatives of the communist youths who delivered greeting messages, as well as by KNE’s Secretary of the Central Council Nikos Abatielos. Among other things, Abatielos expressed the solidarity of the young communists of Greece towards the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) which faces the authoritarian and repressive policy by the Turkish government.
In a joint declaration, the six communist youth organisations call for solidarity towards the refugees and for the strengthening of the struggle against the imperialist wars and capitalism which produces crises, wars and refugees. In their declaration, the young communists strongly comdemn “the murderers of the people, NATO and the European Union” and, on the occasion of the centennial of the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution they reaffirm the need to “invigorate the struggle for the only actual alternative to capitalist barbarity, socialism”.
The event also included a cultural part with songs and music dedicated to the refugees and immigrants.
